Project Summary

The International University of Sarajevo (IUS) is conducting a research project led by Prof. Dr. Selvira Draganović, with the support of Assoc. Prof. Nina Bosankic and Assistant Iman Echnech Seran, MA, focusing on occupational stress, coping strategies, and personality traits among police officers in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Science, the project explores how police officers experience and manage workplace stress using a biopsychosocial approach.

The research combines quantitative and qualitative methods to better understand stress, resilience, and coping mechanisms among active police officers. In addition to scientific publications, the project will produce a practical manual on police stress and coping strategies.

The findings are expected to contribute to improved well-being among police officers and provide valuable insights into stress management, mental health, and resilience among first responders and the wider community.
