Project Summary

As the need for qualified workers increases in Western Europe, Sarajevo Canton plays a key role in attracting foreign talent that drives local economic growth. This project investigates the current integration of foreign workers in Canton, examining legal, social, and cultural challenges they face. By analyzing the local and EU legal frameworks, reviewing positive comparative examples, and conducting interviews, the research will uncover both the opportunities and obstacles that affect integration. The goal is to enhance the integration process by offering recommendations for legal and social improvements. The project aims to promote a more inclusive and diverse community where foreign workers can thrive, benefiting both Sarajevo Canton and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The findings will serve as a foundation for further research in other regions, while raising awareness of integration challenges and potential solutions.
