Project Summary

This Project Topic is a new Jean Monnet Module at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), coordinated by Assistant Professor Dr. Hamza Smajić from the Faculty of Business and Administration. The project focuses on how everyday consumer choices affect people's quality of life, society, and the environment. By exploring topics such as sustainable consumption, consumer rights, financial literacy, and responsible decision-making, the initiative helps students better understand the challenges and opportunities of building a more sustainable future.

The project's main goal is to increase understanding of European Union policies and values related to sustainability and consumer protection while comparing them with practices in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Through a new university course, research activities, public events, and cooperation with different stakeholders, WELL-BIH4EU aims to encourage responsible consumption habits and raise awareness of the connection between consumer well-being and sustainable development. The project also supports Bosnia and Herzegovina's ongoing alignment with European standards and promotes informed, active citizenship.
