The project is supported by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Youth, Canton Sarajevo. This project aims to investigate the intricate relationship between financial behavior, financial well-being, and sustainable consumption in Canton Sarajevo. The underlying assumption of the project is that financial behavior and the level of financial well-being of individuals can influence sustainable consumption. The study will examine several dimensions of financial behavior, such as savings habits, borrowing, investing, and budget planning, as well as the level of financial well-being to determine their connections with various forms of sustainable consumption, such as energy-efficient purchasing, minimalist lifestyles, and waste-reducing consumption.
The expected outcomes of this research are manifold. Firstly, it will provide valuable insights into the factors influencing financial behavior and financial well-being among the citizens of Sarajevo Canton. Additionally, it will identify factors that support sustainable consumption in the local community. The research results can serve as a basis for developing policies and programs that encourage sustainable financial behavior and consumption, thus contributing to socio-economic development and community sustainability. Furthermore, the project can provide guidance and recommendations to citizens.
