The 7th International Pedagogic and Linguistic ERL Conference, “Educational Role of Language – Links Between Beliefs and Language,” was organized in cooperation with the Educational Role of Language Network and supported by the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Youth of Sarajevo Canton. The event included a pre-conference networking session and several complementary activities.
The conference advanced the ERL Trajectory by focusing on linguistic beliefs, explored through sociolinguistic, cultural, semantic, literary, and instructional perspectives, with Dr. Ervin Kovačević delivering a plenary on language complexity and learning mindsets. It brought together prominent scholars from Norway, Brazil, England, Estonia, Italy, and Poland, fostering intercultural exchange and dialogue between experienced academics and emerging researchers.
Through keynote lectures, group sessions, and a practical workshop, participants engaged in interdisciplinary discussions and initiated collaborative work on ERL’s annual theme. A key milestone was the introduction of the ERL Group, extending the network to institutions and strengthening long-term cooperation aimed at elevating the educational role of language.
