Project Summary

The International University of Sarajevo (IUS) has joined EUROCYBER NEXUS, a new Horizon Europe project focused on strengthening cybersecurity innovation and helping small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) adapt to the requirements of the EU NIS2 Directive. Funded by the European Union and managed by EISMEA, the project runs from September 2026 to February 2028 and brings together partners from Finland, Italy, Romania, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Notably, IUS is the only consortium partner from outside the European Union.

Through EUROCYBER NEXUS, partners will map regional cybersecurity ecosystems, exchange knowledge and best practices, and jointly develop an Interregional Roadmap for 2026–2028 to support future investment and cooperation. The consortium includes Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences (Finland), EIT Manufacturing South, the Regional Development Agency of the West Region Romania, and AREA, representing a diverse network of innovation ecosystems across Europe.
